This striking pair of vintage cloisonne enamel deer figurines brings a touch of traditional elegance to any interior. Each deer is finely crafted with intricate wirework separating enamel cells on a turquoise ground, featuring a dense pattern of scrolling floral motifs with red, yellow, and white blossoms. The deer have gilded antlers, ears, hooves, and tails, and their necks and chests are finished in a rich reddish-brown enamel. One deer stands tall with its head raised, while the other is depicted in a recumbent, resting pose. The undersides bear embossed seal marks containing the characters "乾隆年製" (Made in the Qianlong Period). In traditional culture, deer are symbols of longevity, wealth, and good fortune. This pair makes a delightful addition to a collection of cloisonne or Asian decorative arts.
