This striking pair of vintage cloisonne enamel tea bowls features a classic flared form with a gilt rim. Each bowl is richly decorated on a deep blue ground with intricate wirework separating enamel cells in shades of red, green, yellow, white, and light blue, depicting a dynamic dragon and phoenix motif amidst stylized clouds and flames. The interiors are finished in a smooth turquoise enamel. In traditional culture, the dragon and phoenix are symbols of harmony, prosperity, and good fortune. These bowls are a striking example of traditional cloisonne craftsmanship and make a distinguished addition to any collection or table setting.
