This is a stunning 263 page publication issued by Rizzoli, New York in 2005 highlighting L.A.'s architecture, both commercial and residential, and natural surroundings. It is a visual love letter to the city with images of its unique architecture including contemporary, art deco and retro kitsch. I was taken with the fact that I recognized so many of the images which have been memorialized in movies and television productions over the years. The photography is pure art but the book is an art piece all onto itself including ten gatefolds that are a feast for the eyes and a numbered print of Walt Disney Concert Hall by architect Frank Gehry signed by Tim Street-Porter. Only 5000 of these books were printed and this one is number 3067. Published in hardback with an embossed linen cover and glossy paper dust jacket, it is also accompanied by a cardboard presentation/storage box. Published in China.

The book is in excellent condition and has been stored in the cardboard presentation box since new. The cardboard box shows some wear though it looks very good and has served its purpose protecting the book itself. Job well done!

The book measures 16.5" wide x 12.5" tall x 1.5" deep. The box measures 19" wide x 15" tall x 2" deep. See less
