A typical feature of this type of rug is a high, soft pile and a plastically cut decor, thanks to which the individual floral motifs stand out significantly from the surface and create a subtle relief effect. The central field has an elegant old pink shade and is decorated with freely arranged flower bouquets. The dominant is a larger central floral motif, complemented by several smaller compositions. The wide light border is decorated with a continuous band of stylized flowers and leaves in muted tones of blue, gray-blue, cream, pink and beige. The decor is characteristic of Chinese Beijing rugs of the late 20th century, which are characterized by a combination of a relatively modest composition, soft colors and a significantly plastic processing of the pile. The density of the weave is approximately 90,000 knots per m². The high pile, reaching approximately 2.2 cm, is very soft and pleasant to walk on. The plastic cutting emphasizes the contours of the flowers and leaves and gives the decor a spatial character. The rug is in excellent condition with no noticeable damage. The pile is preserved, the fringes are complete and the overall appearance looks very clean. China, Beijing, around 1995.
