Striking vintage 1969 sculptural table lamp by Pieri, featuring a tall twisted column form with deep carved recesses, architectural molding, and a substantial geometric pedestal base.
The chalkware body is finished in rich brown and black tones with a bronzed, antiqued effect that emphasizes the lamp’s dramatic contours and dimensional carving. Decorative banding near the upper body adds another layer of detail, while the elongated spiral form gives the piece a strong Brutalist and Mid-Century Modern presence.
The lamp is molded “©69 PIERI” at the base, dating it to 1969.
Large in scale, the chalkware body measures approximately 21" tall, with an overall height of approximately 33.5" to the top of the finial. Its substantial size and sculptural silhouette make it especially well suited to a console, credenza, large side table, or statement lighting arrangement.
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The lamp has been rewired with a new 3-way socket and is in working condition. Vintage harp and hardware remain. The original finish shows surface marks, rubbing, scattered small finish losses, and areas of natural patina, particularly around the base and raised edges, as pictured. These signs of age contribute to the lamp’s original vintage character.
