The piece features a highly distinctive, organic form. The broad, semi-circular top flows seamlessly into a centrally positioned sculptural support, creating an almost monolithic silhouette. Designed to be mounted directly to the wall, the console retains a surprisingly light, floating appearance despite its impressive dimensions.

The surface beautifully showcases the natural grain of the wood. Rounded edges and smooth transitions between the different planes emphasise the handcrafted, almost sculptural quality of the piece.

Rampel Designs is a studio founded by Belgian designer Marc Van Rampelberg, based in Nairobi, Kenya. His furniture is largely handcrafted and combines European modernist influences with local craftsmanship and the use of exotic woods.

with an impressive width of 152 cm, the piece can function as a full-size console, a large wall-mounted table, or as a striking decorative object in its own right. A strong collector’s piece positioned somewhere between functional furniture and sculpture.
