This impressive wooden chest/chest in the Baroque style, dating from the 1920s, is made of solid wood, boasting a massive structure and a highly decorative form reminiscent of old dowry chests. The front is adorned with striking, three-dimensional geometric panels, and the character of the piece is emphasized by decorative metal fittings, hinges, a lock, and side handles. The thick wooden top and profiled bottom edge give the chest a solid, representative appearance. The natural wood grain, patina, and traces of years of use create the unique character of this antique piece. The chest is not only decorative but also practical – it can be used to store bedding, textiles, documents, or other items. It will be perfect in a living room, bedroom, hallway, office, manor house, or interior decorated in a classic, rustic, or Baroque style. It can also be used as a side table or as a decorative bedside chest.
