a striking and highly functional danish design classic, the “phister” lamp, designed by hans due for the renowned danish lighting manufacturer fog & mørup in 1977.

executed in vibrant red molded plastic, the lamp has a bold, playful character that perfectly captures the experimental spirit of late 1970s scandinavian design. Its distinctive rotating “heads” can be individually adjusted, allowing the direction of light to be altered according to preference. This clever feature makes the lamp both highly practical and visually engaging.

designed primarily as a wall-mounted sconce, the "phister" can also be used as a table lamp, offering considerable versatility in placement. The vivid red color gives it a strong graphic presence, making it an eye-catching accent in contemporary, modernist, or retro interiors.

with its sculptural form, innovative functionality, and unmistakable danish character, the "phister" is an excellent example of collectible scandinavian lighting from the 1970s.
