Italian modular sofa from the 1970s, composed of six independent modules, fully padded and upholstered in red cotton fabric. The design recalls the "Galeotta" armchair by Zanotta.
Italian modular sofa from the 1970s, composed of six independent elements that can be freely combined. Each module features a fully padded structure, upholstered in red cotton fabric, with a low, deep seat and a sloping backrest. The absence of a visible rigid structure and the continuous upholstery give the whole a soft, compact profile. The design is part of the 1970s Italian research into modular upholstered furniture, when the traditional sofa structure was broken down into independent, reconfigurable elements. The forms are particularly reminiscent of the "Galeotta" armchair produced by Zanotta, with which they share the low stance, fully padded construction, and the seamless relationship between seat and backrest.
