Designed by Anders Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan, the "Bumlingen" is one of the most recognizable Swedish lighting designs of the 1960s. The white lacquered metal shade features a distinctive rounded profile and encloses two light sources, shielded at the bottom by a concentric plastic grille that helps diffuse the light. Introduced in 1968, the "Bumlingen" series quickly became a success and was developed in numerous versions, sizes, and colors, becoming one of the most well-known expressions of the pop and functional design language developed by Pehrson for Ateljé Lyktan.
