Swedish oak sideboard from the 1960s, produced by Skaraborgs Möbelindustri, a manufacturer founded in 1938 in Tibro, a major center of Swedish furniture production. The structure is organized according to a precise division of the front: three square doors are topped by three drawers, each characterized by small circular recessed handles. Inside, the compartments are divided by shelves, while one of the drawers is divided into compartments. The body is supported by four straight, slightly tapered legs; the top is bordered on the sides and back by a thin raised edge. The design reflects the quest for essentiality typical of Swedish furniture of the period, entrusting the overall character to the proportions, construction, and continuity of the oak surfaces. The integrated handles and subtly squared fronts introduce discreet details without interrupting the furniture's geometry. The original Skaraborgs Möbelindustri, Tibro, label, preserved on the piece, documents its manufacture. Good condition. May show signs of aging. Please refer to the photographs carefully.
