Dating from the 1960s–1970s, this distinctive lamp features an exotic-inspired design and is often attributed to the production of the iconic Italian design brand Vivai del Sud, although it does not bear a label or other markings confirming this attribution. The base is constructed from a series of slender, bent canes joined together, a characteristic technique strongly associated with the aesthetic of Vivai del Sud. Rising from the circular base is a substantial bamboo cane that supports a beautifully shaped fan-like shade, handcrafted from woven palm rattan.

Its soft, rounded silhouette recalls the visual language of the Uchiwa series designed by Ingo Maurer, while maintaining its own distinctive character. The combination of natural textures, organic materials, and sculptural forms gives this lamp a warm and highly decorative presence, perfectly suited to interiors inspired by mid-century, Italian, or exotic design. The lamp retains its original electrical wiring and is fully functional, as shown in the photographs.
