A pair of sculptural table lamps designed by aldo londi and manufactured by bitossi ceramiche in montelupo fiorentino, italy, in … Read more A pair of sculptural table lamps designed by aldo londi and manufactured by bitossi ceramiche in montelupo fiorentino, italy, in the 1960s — model 4330, in the decor known as "medallion." each bottle-form base is hand-thrown in chamotte earthenware and finished in a deep moss-green glaze, glossy and mobile over the rough, pitted texture of the clay beneath. Applied relief medallions — small square seals, each framing a stylized bird in lustrous ochre — are set around the body, glowing against the dark ground like wax stamps on a bottle.

each base retains its period teak collar and bakelite-type e27 fitting, with older, function-tested electrics and european plugs. The cylindrical shades, covered in off-white silk, are included. Each base is impressed italy and hand-numbered with the model in glaze.

both bases are in very fine condition with no damage, cracks or chips; the silk shades show minor spotting consistent with age.
