An original, complete set of vintage enamelware, consisting of:
- a large pitcher with a lid,
- a sugar bowl with a lid,
- two cups with handles.
The set is made of enameled steel in a distinctive dark brown color, adorned with a floral pattern in white, red, green, and yellow. The light brown rims and lid handles further emphasize the decorative character of the set.
The shape of the pieces, the color scheme, and the decoration are typical of European functional design from the 1960s. Stylistically, the set draws on Polish and Central European enamelware popular during that period.
The manufacturer has not been identified—no signature or manufacturer’s mark was found on any of the pieces. Due to the lack of markings, I do not attribute the set to a specific manufacturer. Similar brown enamelware pieces with floral decoration are found among the products of Huta Silesia in Rybnik; therefore, a Polish origin is possible, but in the case of this particular set, it remains unconfirmed.
Date
circa 1960–1970, most likely the 1960s.
