EXCEPTIONALLY RARE

To the uninformed:

• Many live-edge desks look pretty much alike, and

• A 1909-S VDB penny and a plain 1909 penny look pretty much alike.

The informed, however, know that:

• The 1909-S VDB is extremely rare and worth over $100K, but a plain 1909 is quite common and only worth about $1.

• Rarity also applies to the value of live-edge desks.

Rarity of This Desktop:

CURLY: Less than 2% of maple trees milled have this effect.

AMBROSIA: Only about 1% of maple trees milled have this effect.

SUGAR MAPLE: Less than 50% of maple trees milled are hard sugar maple.

MATH: 2% * 1% * 50% = 0.0001% = 1 in 10,000

God makes very little wood like this. Fewer than 2% of all maple trees milled have curly grain. Only about 1% of maple trees milled contain ambrosia markings. Fewer than 50% of the maple trees milled are hard sugar maple. That means less than one in every ten-thousand maple trees milled yields a piece of wood with all three of these features.

There are very few desks in the world with these three features, and even fewer for sale. This may be the only one on the market right now.

This desk is an investment that will only go up in value. You may have to change a motor after a few decades, but the desktop will remain rare and valuable forever.
