An exquisite late 20th-century French Provincial-style bombe chest of drawers by renowned American maker Thomasville. Featuring a premium, thick black marble surface with beveled edging, the chest is configured with a 3-drawer layout (two smaller split top drawers over one expansive full-width bottom drawer) accented by sweeping serpentine lines and heavy cabriole legs.
The wooden body has been expertly upgraded with a multi-layered, hand-distressed finish in shades of antique sage and cream to effortlessly expose the under-layers and detailed scrollwork trim. Complemented entirely by its original, gracefully aged brass hardware handles.
MAISON MARTINE RESTORATION & PREPARATION PROCESS
Every piece in my shop goes through a careful, multi-step preparation before refinishing. From the moment I acquire it, the furniture is fully vacuumed, cleaned, and sanitized, inside and out. Structural elements are checked, tightened, and repaired as needed, and the piece is fitted with four brand new adjustable leveling feet to ensure perfect stability in its new home. The surface is then prepared, refinished with artisan techniques, and sealed for durability. Before shipping, the piece is cleaned again, protected, and blanket-wrapped for safe transport. Your item arrives fresh, cared for, and ready for its next chapter.
Your piece arrives with the Maison Martine Signature Presentation Box—including your Certificate of Authenticity, Artistic Transformation Certificate, Care Guide, Restoration Process, and a hand-painted trinket nestled in a satin pouch.
Thank you for supporting artisan restoration. Each piece is created with intention, patience, and Mediterranean warmth.
