About the Artist

Ricardo del Río (b. 1961) is a Mexican sculptor particularly recognized for his powerful interpretations of horses and wildlife. His equestrian works combine naturalistic anatomy with dramatic movement and highly expressive surface modeling. Del Río collaborated with renowned Mexican decorative arts maker D'Argenta Internacional on a series of substantial silver-plated sculptures, many produced in strictly limited editions.
