The painted frames have a soft, worn celadon and cream finish with carved rosettes at the corners, molded backs with leaf carved finials, and tapering fluted legs. All are upholstered in a cream ground floral print of red poppies, blue chrysanthemums and trailing vines between coral stripes. The armchairs have scrolled, fluted arms with padded rests and removable seat cushions.

A set of eight is hard to find, and the pairing of two armchairs for the heads of the table makes it a complete dining room in one go.
