The series explores atmosphere, memory, and the suggestion of landscape through restrained composition and expressive mark-making. Layered black and neutral tones create an ambiguous sense of depth, with gestural forms emerging from and receding into the surrounding space.

Rather than depicting a specific place, the works evoke the feeling of looking through fog—where landscape becomes fragmented, softened, and partially obscured. Duncan balances spontaneous gestures with areas of quiet negative space, creating compositions that feel both atmospheric and architectural.

Each work is an original, one-of-a-kind piece, signed by the artist. The four works are designed to work individually or as a cohesive grouping, creating a continuous visual dialogue when displayed together.
