Constructed of dark-stained vertical wood staves with decorative gold-tone metal bands, a bentwood swing handle and a wonderfully detailed Federal American eagle crest with arrows.

The underside retains its original circular PUTNEY BASKETVILLE VERMONT maker's stamp.

At 13 3/4 inches tall and 13 1/4 inches in diameter, this is a substantial decorative piece with excellent presence. The combination of dark aged wood, metallic accents and the prominent eagle motif makes it particularly handsome for a traditional library, study, office or Ralph Lauren-inspired interior.

Dimensions: 13.25" diameter × 13.75" H.

Condition: Vintage condition with visible age and use throughout. The wood exhibits scratches, scuffs, rubbing, finish variation and areas of finish loss. The metal bands, handle and hardware show age-related wear and patina. Interior shows evidence of previous use. The aged surfaces have been left intact and contribute to the authentic vintage character of the piece. Please refer to photographs for condition details.
