A bold and colorful original oil pastel artwork depicting an arrangement of oranges and yellow fruit against a dramatic deep blue-black background. Unknown artist.
The artist uses rich, saturated oil pastel with visible, expressive strokes and layered color to give the fruit a wonderfully tactile quality. The contrast between the brilliant oranges and yellows and the dark background creates a striking, contemporary composition.
The work has the appeal of a traditional still life while retaining a loose, modern and expressive character.
