The sculpture showcases Vianello’s ability to bring warmth, movement, and personality to wildlife subjects through expressive modeling and richly textured bronze.

The bronze is mounted on a warm wood base, creating a handsome contrast with the sculpture’s deep patina and making it an appealing piece for a bookshelf, desk, console, or curated collection.

Franco Vianello (1937–2015) was a Venetian-born sculptor who trained in the classical traditions of bronze casting before establishing his career in California. Known for his mastery of the lost-wax process, Vianello created works ranging from intimate wildlife studies to major public monuments. See less
