Vintage Large Caucasian Kazak Rug with Green Medallions on Red Field 5'8 x 10'7. Keivan Woven Arts/ rug/C26-0816-566, country of origin / type: Caucasus / Kazak, circa 1950.

Vintage large Caucasian Kazak rug distinguished by a dramatic arrangement of three oversized geometric medallions extending vertically across a warm red field. Each medallion is formed with broad angular shapes in rich green and turquoise tones, connected along the center by smaller geometric ornaments. The generous scale of the motifs gives the rug a bold graphic presence while preserving the expressive character associated with Caucasian weaving.

The palette is especially vibrant, combining a warm red and coral ground with emerald green, turquoise, teal, deep blue, bright pink, yellow, and touches of ivory and dark brown. Pink outlining runs through portions of the green medallions, creating a lively contrast, while small yellow accents illuminate the centers and surrounding details. Turquoise and blue elements add cooler tones that balance the dominant red and green. See less
