An elegant and evocative two-light wall sconce in the altarpiece style, a fine example of early 20th-century sacred and decorative craftsmanship.
· Subject and Style: Inspired by the classic, majestic silhouette of Baroque altarpieces, it features a pediment shaped with acanthus scrolls, a shell-shaped top, and a central base crafted with a dense pattern of punched diamonds.
· Material and Finish: Shaped wooden frame covered on the front with a rich, hand-embossed and hand-chased metal sheet with a silver finish and period burnishing; two curved, scroll-shaped arms with floral plates and faux candle stubs with drops; covered back with an integrated hook for wall mounting.
Ideal for: Period homes, prestigious entrances, halls, corridors, or to enhance classic-style spaces and antique collections with warm, atmospheric lighting.
