· Subject and Style: Slender, neoclassical-inspired design; tapered column stem with a gilded palmette motif, surmounted by a large bobeche with a perforated Greek fret border and a central candle holder, resting on a solemn tripod pyramidal base on feline paw feet.

· Material and Finish: Silver-plated metal with richly applied and embossed friezes in a contrasting gold finish depicting vegetal scrolls and palmettes; internal structure reinforced with a solid wood block and a threaded tie rod visible at the bottom.
