the ch316 belongs to wegner’s distinctive series of tables combining a restrained wooden tabletop with a light and precisely executed stainless-steel frame. The slender cylindrical legs give the substantial tabletop a visually light appearance and emphasize the clean, modernist character of the design.

the tabletop is made of natural wood with a warm tone and clearly visible grain.

this example retains a complete set of original manufacturer’s labels, including the tranekær furniture a/s label dated 2005, the danish furnituremakers’ quality control mark, and a label confirming the design by hans j. Wegner and production by tranekær furniture for carl hansen & søn.
