The lamp features a distinctive multi-layered construction composed of several concentric metal shades finished in white lacquer. The carefully designed arrangement of reflectors conceals the light source while distributing the light between the individual layers.

When illuminated, the lamp produces a particularly pleasant, warm and soft light. The individual shades are illuminated from within, emphasizing the sculptural, three-dimensional construction of the lamp.

Its form is highly characteristic of 1970s Danish lighting design, reflecting the Scandinavian tradition of indirect, glare-free illumination combined with precise geometric proportions.
