A poignant snapshot of Berlin nightlife during the Weimar Republic of the 1920s and 1930s. Mammen's delicate watercolors and fine, detailed drawings contain a wealth of narrative layers. Lovingly characterizing and with subtle humor, Mammen portrays self-assured, modern women and a society in transition.
