Unusual coffee table
Thick live edge top with dot details
Carved legs
Rustic brutalist wabi sabi style.
Rustic sculptural elm coffee table, probably mid-20th century, constructed from a substantial piece of beautifully figured elm with a naturally irregular, hand-worked edge. The thick slab top is supported by four roughly shaped cylindrical legs, with numerous visible wooden pegs adding to its strongly vernacular character. The richly patinated surface displays exceptional figuring and knots throughout, giving the piece a distinctly primitive, almost Brutalist quality.
