The hinged top opens to reveal a shallow storage compartment, making it useful for cards, board games, or small entertaining essentials.

Its warm finish and sculptural silhouette suit traditional, Federal Revival, Regency-inspired, and collected interiors. Use it as a game table, an occasional table, or a distinctive accent in a living room or library. The wood appears to be mahogany or mahogany veneer; the exact wood and maker are unverified.
