This distinguished pair of antique gilt bronze guardian lions adds a stately, historical presence to any interior. Each lion is finely cast in a dynamic, upright posture upon a cylindrical drum base. They feature expressive faces with traces of red pigment around the eyes and mouths, detailed manes, and curled tails. One lion rests its paw upon an intricately pierced brocade ball, while the other playfully interacts with a small cub. The drum bases are decorated with a studded border and small lion-mask appliqués. The bronze surfaces exhibit a deep, dark patina with scattered remnants of original gilding, giving them a rich antique character.
