A striking Art Deco porcelain owl designed by German artist and ceramicist Fritz Klee for Lorenz Hutschenreuther, one of Germany’s most respected porcelain manufacturers. Produced by the firm’s Abteilung für Kunst (Art Department) in Selb, Bavaria, circa 1920s–1930s, the figure reflects Klee’s distinctive approach to animal sculpture, combining naturalistic observation with the clean, stylized geometry of the period.
The owl is modeled in crisp white porcelain with elegant gilt accents highlighting the eyes, beak, talons, and faceted pedestal, giving the piece a particularly graphic and sophisticated presence. Marked on the underside with the Hutschenreuther Selb-Bavaria Art Department factory mark and decorator’s number. A handsome example of early 20th-century German art porcelain with strong decorative appeal.
Measures approximately 6.5"H × 3"W × 4.5"D.
