Used as a stately desk or writing table, such painting tables provided an expansive surface for calligraphy, painting and viewing scrolls.

Ideal today as a dining table or statement desk, the table has a waisted design with beaded cutouts and cabriole legs that flow gracefully into the ogee-curve aprons. A layer of dark brown lacquer adds wonderful texture, beautifully framing the exposed elmwood on the tabletop and feet. See less
