This small provincial cabinet was originally the lower half of an antique Chinese kitchen cupboard, filled with dish wares, baskets and other kitchen supplies. Reconfigured as a small storage chest, the cabinet is crafted with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery and inset with panels of flattened bamboo. The double doors open to reveal a spacious interior fitted with a single shelf. Darkened to a deep brown finish, the rustic cabinet brings great texture and a touch of history to modern interiors.
