A signed carved stone bear sculpture by Ben Saclamana, an Inupiaq / Inuit artist associated with King Island, Alaska. Compact but substantial, the sculpture is carved from gray stone with natural white, charcoal, and muted greenish veining throughout.
The form is simple, strong, and expressive, with an elongated head, rounded body, and quiet sculptural presence. Its smaller scale makes it ideal for a bookshelf, desk, cabinet of curiosities, collector’s display, or layered tabletop arrangement.
The underside is signed Ben Saclamana. A beautifully restrained Inuit / Inupiaq carved stone bear with strong material character and collector appeal.
