A richly figured oak draw-leaf pub table in English Jacobean Revival-Style, likely English and dating approximately to the 1920s–1930s. The paneled oak top has broad framing boards, softly rounded corners, and prominent grain and ray fleck that give the surface warmth and visual movement.
The traditional draw-leaf mechanism is one of the table’s most engaging design features. Two integral, non-detachable leaves slide outward from beneath the tabletop. As the leaves extend, the center section settles down between them to create the larger surface. When closed, the leaves tuck neatly beneath the top and the table returns to its compact proportions.
Dimensions:
Closed: approximately 36.25" W × 35.25" D × 30.25" H
Fully extended: approximately 60.5" L × 35.25" D × 30.25" H
Knee clearance: approximately 28"
Two integral, non-detachable draw leaves
The base is equally distinctive, with substantial turned supports incorporating deeply fluted sections over elongated ovoid or acorn-shaped forms, shaped feet, and a low connecting stretcher. Together with the paneled oak top, these details give the table the strong architectural presence associated with Jacobean Revival furniture while keeping the scale versatile enough for everyday interiors.
The design is closely related to documented pre-war draw-leaf furniture by Jacob Summers & Sons of Tottenham, North London. Surviving late-1920s and 1930s Jacob Summers catalog and archive examples show related paneled tops, integrated draw-leaf mechanisms, turned supports, and varied Jacobean Revival detailing. This table is unsigned, and no specific Summers model has been identified, so the maker relationship remains an attribution rather than a confirmed identification.
English oak draw-leaf tables belong to a much older furniture tradition in which extension leaves store beneath the principal top and slide outward when additional surface is needed. Surviving museum and historic-collection examples document the continuation of this practical form into the early 20th century.

The tabletop shows scattered scratches, scuffs, darker marks, circular glassware or moisture rings, areas of discoloration, and finish wear from long use. One localized area has a more noticeable group of scratches. The two integral draw leaves are noticeably lighter in color and finish than the center tabletop. One leaf has an older rectangular inset wood patch repair. Small chips, nicks, and edge wear are present along portions of the leaves and tabletop perimeter. The turned supports, stretcher, shaped feet, and lower structure show expected rubbing, scratches, small nicks, and finish wear consistent with age and use. No restoration or refinishing has been undertaken by the dealer. Sold as found. Condition is subjective. Colors may vary by screen/device. Please read the description and examine all photos.
