Here is a mid-century Scandinavian sideboard credenza, made in Denmark and attributed to the Danish design duo Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl. It is built from solid teak and has a thick top with softly rounded edges, giving it the quiet, crafted presence of fine Danish cabinetmaking. A Danish label on the back confirms where it was made.
The drawers are built with beautiful exposed finger joinery. The top row has a single drawer on the left, a center drawer and two smaller drawers on the right. The center drawer is felt-lined and holds a sliding tray, also finger-jointed, that glides back and forth for cutlery or table linens. Below the drawers, three paneled doors with turned wooden knobs open to generous storage with interior shelves.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. One drawer knob is slightly lighter in colour than the others and may be a replacement.
