This mid-century modern ceramic horse figurine was designed by Vicke Lindstrand for the prominent Swedish ceramics manufacturer Upsala-Ekeby. Produced between the 1940s and 1950s, this specific piece (often cataloged as figure number 37 or simply "Häst") exemplifies Scandinavian art pottery from the era. It features a stylized, minimalist form with a matte off-white glazed body contrasted by a distinctive grooved, unglazed brown mane and tail.

Measures 5 3/4" x 2 1/4" x 6 1/2" tall. Good condition - minor frit on the mane does not detract. A beautiful piece. See less
