Designed in 1966 for Knoll's Outdoor Collection. These armless versions are the rarer, more architectural sibling to the famous armchair. Their clean, white, powder coated aluminum frame is resilient to sun, salt, air and rain. The vinyl coated mesh seat and back provide excellent air flow and keep the sitter cool even in direct sun.
These two chairs have slight imperfections from natural usage, with no holes or sagging. The frame is structurally sound with no cracks, bends or weld failures - ready for many more years of use. There is some powder coating missing on the bottom of the legs.
The 1966 Collection is one of the enduring designs of the twentieth century and is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Museum.
* The chairs are not explicitly marked as Schultz for Knoll.
The price is for the pair.
