The dreamlike composition is anchored by a colossal, dense arrangement of flowers blooming in rich hues of red, orange, yellow, and white against deep green foliage. Nestled into the left side of this vibrant floral canopy is an embracing couple, with the woman in a light dress and the man wrapped in a dark jacket, showcasing Chagall's signature theme of floating lovers. The bouquet sits in a faint vase against a whimsical, deep blue backdrop, while a tiny village or landscape peeks out from the bottom right corner. The artwork is housed in an ornate, silver-toned wooden frame featuring a roped edge and wide linen-textured matting, resting atop a simple brown stool. The oil painting is on canvas, hardwood frame
