A bold, highly graphic abstract work dominated by an intense cobalt-blue ground with contrasting red, turquoise, black, and yellow elements. Signed 1982, by S Adams- in the likeness of Joan Miro.
The composition has a distinctly Pop Art–influenced, modernist sensibility, combining simplified figurative/graphic forms with layered shapes, outlined details, and strong color relationships. The central red form and suspended upper elements create an unusual, almost theatrical composition that rewards closer viewing.
