A witty, expressive vintage pen-and-ink society illustration titled in graphite "Les Sylvain" and signed lower right by artist Fazi.
Complete with original signed Certificate of Authenticity from The Deighton Gallery (Santa Fe, NM / Antique Maps & Works on Paper Ltd.), hand-sourced in France. The COA document is preserved in a custom archival sleeve on the reverse dust cover.
The satirical drawing captures two high-society figures in animated conversation, rendered with sharp caricature line work on warm, naturally aged wove paper.
The artwork is showcased in an exceptional, museum-quality presentation: custom-floated over an expansive cream mat board and encased in a heavy, deeply sculpted cove frame with an antiqued gold-leaf finish. Measuring an impressive 29.5" by 36", this piece provides a grand, sophisticated statement for a library, executive study, dining salon, or cocktail lounge. Excellent vintage condition with pristine framing, clear gallery provenance, and secure hanging wire on reverse.
