A commanding Neoclassical-style carved wood console table featuring an authentic inset black marble top with striking white veining, acquired directly from the historic auction of Charlie Trotter’s world-renowned Chicago restaurant following its closure.
A piece of Chicago culinary and design history, this substantial console stood within the legendary, Michelin-starred Charlie Trotter establishment in Lincoln Park. The table boasts dramatic carved architectural scroll supports terminating in sculpted lion-paw feet, anchored by a shaped lower display stretcher shelf that provides structural weight and secondary staging space. The cream base displays an antiqued, gently distressed European provincial patina that contrasts handsomely with the polished, heavily veined black marble slab surface.
At 60 inches wide and 36 inches high, it offers exceptional architectural presence and scale for a grand foyer, entry gallery, living room sofa backing, or formal dining room. In excellent, sturdy condition with light intentional distressing consistent with its European provincial finish. A rare opportunity to own a designer-grade statement piece tied to an American culinary landmark.

The inset black marble top retains its deep luster and dramatic veining. Please note: there is one localized historical surface repair to the marble measuring approximately 1" x 1" (detailed clearly in listing photos), which blends naturally with the organic veining and stone texture. Light, gentle surface wear consistent with age and restaurant provenance. less
