The piece features a lobed, scalloped rim and a flared pedestal base, both finished with bright gold gilding. It is crafted using a rare "no-body" or "eggshell" technique combined with openwork copper skeleton construction, a highly difficult process that results in a remarkably thin, lightweight, and translucent vessel. The surface is covered in a dense, gilt wire "fish-scale" mesh ground in pale blue, adorned with vibrant, hand-painted floral sprays in pink, yellow, and green. The center features a roundel with a single stylized bloom. The maker notes that the flawless execution of this complex design requires immense skill, as any error in the firing process would ruin the piece. A true collector's item representing traditional craftsmanship. (Note: The stand is shown with oranges for scale and display purposes only; they are not included.)
