Broad horizontal passages suggest distant land, water and shifting horizons without describing a specific place. The result is atmospheric yet structured, bringing both depth and quiet movement to an interior.

Sophie Dumont builds her surfaces through successive layers of oil paint applied with palette knife and brush. Scraped passages, visible underlayers and irregular edges give the painting a tactile quality and make each area of colour feel physically present.

The restrained palette and horizontal format make this work particularly suited to contemporary, organic modern, transitional or neutral interiors. It can be installed above a console, mantel or sofa and is presented in a natural wood floater frame.

This is a unique, original painting, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. It is framed and ready to hang.
