The light beige ground provides a quiet foundation for the bold blue geometric forms, while delicate pink motifs introduce subtle color and soften the graphic quality of the design. The repetition of the medallions creates a strong sense of rhythm and movement, particularly well suited to the runner's elongated proportions.

Dating to the early 20th century, the rug has considerable character, with the antique-washed finish further softening the palette and giving the geometric design a more relaxed, timeworn appearance.

At 4' wide and over 13 feet long, this is an unusually substantial runner, making it particularly effective in a long hallway, gallery, passage, or other architectural space where its linear composition can be fully appreciated.
