A dusty pink ground provides a softly colored foundation for the intricate design, while blue, ivory, red, and gray motifs create layers of delicate floral detail throughout the field. The stylized drawing gives the flowers and foliage a decorative, almost illustrative quality that is particularly evocative of early 20th-century design.

Likely dating to around the 1920s, the rug has the graceful proportions and decorative character of its period. A professional antique wash has softened the original palette, giving the dusty pink ground and surrounding colors a beautifully muted appearance.

Compact in size but rich in detail, this is an especially charming accent rug for a bedroom, study, entry, or intimate sitting area.
