The sculptural lid is topped with a charming deep cobalt bird finial, giving this substantial teapot wonderful character and display presence.

Handmade and decorated in Poland, the teapot combines classic European folk-art tradition with a timeless blue-and-white colorway that works beautifully in traditional, cottage, collected, and eclectic interiors. An integrated strainer is incorporated into the interior of the spout, allowing the piece to function as a teapot as well as a decorative addition to a kitchen, hutch, or collected pottery display.

Marked on the underside “Bolesławiec – Hand Made in Poland.”

Very good pre-owned condition. No chips, structural cracks, or repairs observed. There is a small firing/glaze fissure inside the spout, shown clearly in the photographs. It appears to be an original manufacturing imperfection and does not extend through the spout. Light age-appropriate surface wear may be present.

A distinctive example of collectible Polish stoneware with an especially appealing bird-form finial. See less
