Early 20th-century electric desk lamp manufactured by the Linolite Company of New York and incorporating Alfred W. Beuttell's patented Linolite lighting system, patented September 25, 1906. The substantial cast metal base supports an articulated arm and adjustable elongated reflector designed to accommodate dual tubular bulbs and provide broad, directed task lighting while reducing glare. The fixture retains its period cloth-covered electrical cord, adjustment hardware, and embossed Linolite manufacturer markings. Its exposed mechanical construction and long horizontal reflector exemplify the functional design of early electric office and task lighting.

Reflector shows scattered abrasions, minor dents, and surface imperfections. Base exhibits additional finish loss, staining, and wear concentrated around edges and high points. Original cloth-covered cord shows age-related wear and surface fraying. Embossed manufacturer markings remain visible. Bulbs not included. Please refer to photos regarding condition.
