Dimensions: 8.75" D × 5.75" H
Interior Opening: 7.5" D
Vintage California modern stoneware planter with a rich variegated glaze ranging from deep espresso brown to charcoal black. Features a rounded rolled rim, recessed neck, and raised band around the upper body.
The piece is unmarked, but research leans toward Architectural Pottery of Los Angeles based on comparisons with documented period forms, construction, scale, and similar brown-black glazes. It was acquired alongside a collection of vintage Gainey Ceramics planters; Gainey was also considered, though the dimensions and profile appear more consistent with Architectural Pottery examples.
Glazed inside and out with no drainage hole. Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
